Before the business opens
Tell us whether access is blocked or whether the door cannot be secured after opening. Mention another usable entrance if there is one. For business lock support, include who is responsible for approving work and whether the lock belongs to your unit or a shared building. Those details are useful even when you do not know the hardware brand.
Place the entrance on the square
Sunbury's historic town square has businesses and offices around it. Give the actual street number, side of the square and suite when relevant, rather than the square alone. If the door needing attention is around the back, identify that separately. A nearby home needs its own address; the destination that helps you find the area may not identify the lock involved.
Decide what should happen to keys
For a change in occupancy or staff, first list the doors opened by the existing key. Then decide who should keep access and whether any working locks need a different key arrangement. Rekeying can be discussed for compatible hardware in good condition. Add a repair concern if the key already catches, rather than expecting a key change to fix both issues automatically.
If it is the car outside
A vehicle request needs the year, make, model and what happened to the key. Note whether a spare exists and whether the vehicle is locked. A replacement key may involve different requirements from opening a car with the key inside. Give the actual parking location, and explain if the car is away from the business address used earlier in the conversation.
